Jeffrey Dey

Jeffrey J. Dey, age 45, of Lincoln, died Monday, July 7, 2008 at Lincoln. He was born January 21, 1963 at Seward to Burdette (Bud) Eppenbaugh and Bonnie K. McBride. Jeff had spent the past 3 years in healthcare centers in Firth and Lincoln, NE. He was a 1981 graduate of Superior, NE and after graduation; he joined the US Air Force, serving at Lackland, TX and Bozie City, LA until his discharge in 1984. Following his military service, he worked as a laborer for many construction companies across Nebraska.

Left to mourn Jeff’s loss, are his mother Bonnie and her husband Maurice Spencer of Lincoln; sister, Holly and her husband Michael Kelch of Exeter; nephews, Jerry and Christopher of Exeter; his adoptive father Dannie and his wife Phyllis Dey of Superior, NE; grandmother Evelyn Dey of York; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death were his father Burdette (Bud) Eppenbaugh; grandparents Herschel and Dorothy Eppenbaugh of Staplehurst; George and Vivian McBride of York and Archie Dey of Gresham.

Graveside services were held on Friday, July 11, 2008 at the Greenwood Cemetery in York at 10:00 a.m. Jeff was cremated and there was no visitation.
