Curtis Cudaback
Curtis C. Cudaback age 81 of Beatrice, NE died Friday, December 24, 2010 at Beatrice.
He was born January 2, 1929 in rural McCool Junction, NE to Clarence C. and Mabel (Lord) Cudaback and graduated from McCool Junction High School in 1946. Curtis was a longtime truck driver for Gooches Mill in Lincoln where he was a member of the Teamsters Union. Curtis was member of the McCool United Methodist Church, the Nebraska National Guard, the Moose Lodge in Lincoln and was an avid Husker fan. He was also a Boy Scout Leader and enjoyed traveling and dancing.
On August 1, 1948 he was married to Virginia L. Bellows at York. He was then married to Barbara Hunt on April 7, 1972 at Lincoln. His current fiancé’ was Wilma “Billie Jean” Philippi of Beatrice.
He is survived by two sons: Randall Cudaback of McCool Jct, NE and Greg and his wife Mary Cudaback of Lincoln, NE, daughters: Linda and her husband James Childress and Ronda and her husband Glenn Pagel all of Lincoln and Dette and her husband Louis Perschke of Huachuca, AZ;
12 grandchildren; and
8 Great Grandchildren
Also surviving is his sister Virginia Fuller of York and a sister in law Virginia Cudaback of Omaha, NE.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother Hattie, his two former wives, his brother Willard Cudaback and his sister Ruperta Jarret.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the McCool United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jeff Adams officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near McCool Junction with memorials being directed to the family for later designation.
