Dorothy Crounse

Dorothy J. Crounse age 85 of York, NE died Friday, July 13, 2007 at York. She was born August 18, 1921 at Valley, NE to Raymond and Edna (Grady) Thomas. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in York and was united in marriage to Lee Crounse on August 24, 1940 at Papillion, NE. Dorothy was a clerk at the Coast to Coast store in York for 25 years until her retirement in 1984.

She is survived by her sons Gary Crounse of San Francisco, CA and Tom (Deb) Crounse of Glenwood, IA, one grandson Ben Crounse of Virginia Beach, VA and sister Ruby Sharp from California. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and special friend Penny Schneider. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 16, 2007 at Faith Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Arthur Schauer officiating. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Faith Lutheran Church in York.
