Ilda Couch

Ilda L. Couch age 93 of Beaver, Oklahoma died Saturday, March 4, 2006 at Beaver. She was born December 13, 1912 at Mitchell, NE to William and Pearl (Converse) Evans. She graduated from York High School in 1930 and was a former member of the Methodist Episcopal Church in York. Later she was a member of the United Methodist Church at Beaver. On August 9, 1936 she was married to Warren W. Couch at York. After her retirement she enjoyed fishing and boating with her husband and was also active in the Women’s Volunteer Firefighter’s Auxiliary at Lake Texoma, OK.

She is survived by two daughters Lura Marie and her husband Herb Sprague of Beaver, OK and Jane Rosalie and her husband Frank Lemmons of Slapout, OK. One son Franklin W. and his wife Theresa Couch of Wichita, KS; 4 grandchildren; and 10 Great Grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister Thelma Lower of St. Cloud, MN; two sisters-in-law Jean Evans of Lincoln, NE and Kathryn Couch of York, NE; Nieces and Nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, one sister, one grandson and a son in law.

Graveside services were Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the Greenwood Cemetery in York with the Reverend Jeff Wulf officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Beaver United Methodist Church, the Beaver County Nursing Home or to the donor’s favorite charity.
