Carl Condon

Carl N. Condon age 72, of York, NE, died Monday, August 23, 2010 in Lincoln, NE. He was born October 19, 1937 in Fairmont, NE to Clarence and Ortha (Parker) Condon. He graduated from Central City High School in 1956. Following graduation, he joined the Navy where he served until May of 1958. Carl and Connie Piper were married on February 15, 1959 at York, NE.

Carl worked as a sales manager for Kraft Foods in Omaha until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Men. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, gardening, traveling and fishing. Family was important to Carl and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Connie of York; two sons, Steve Condon of Doniphan, NE and Scott (Julie) Condon of Ogallala, NE; one daughter, Cathryn Condon of LaVista, NE; one grandson Andrew (Jennifer) Condon of Cheyenne, WY; one granddaughter Heather (Julian) Tafoya III of Cheyenne; three great-grandsons, Tyler Condon, Trenten Condon, and Julian Tafoya IV all of Cheyenne. Also surviving is a brother Ron (Lanina) Condon of Taber, IA; three sisters-in-law, Joan Condon of North Platte, NE, Josephine Condon of Long Beach, CA, Jackie Condon of Hastings, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Preceding him in death were his parents, five sisters, and three brothers.

Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 27, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in York. Private family inurnment. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
