Leonard Chrastil

Leonard S. “Satch” Chrastil, age 75, of York, NE, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at York. He was born March 17, 1935 in Saline County, Nebraska to Steve and Tillie (Molzer) Chrastil. He was a veteran having served in the US Army. He will be remembered for his artistry and known as an avid Husker fan.

He is survived by his children: Steve (Kathy) Chrastil and their children Bernice Phillips (husband Ron, children Kenny, Alex, Annie), Berdina Mitchner and her children, Brittany and Jennifer, Lori Elliott (husband Larry and children Jason and Jessica) all of Lincoln, NE, Brian Beck and his sons, Aaron and Tommy of Portland, OR; daughter, Mechale Crawford and her children, Alexandra, Anastasia (Tyler Kreigler, child Nova), and Elijah, all of Lincoln; and son Mikeal (Kris) Chrastil and children Seth, Millisa and Zach of Ravenna, NE.

Surviving adopted family includes: Carl (Chris) Gragg of Avoca, NE, Dorisla (Robert) Kramer of York, Barbara (John) Kruger of Wilbur, NE and Lisa Gragg of Lincoln. Mr. Chrastil is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sibling, son Douglas Eugene, fiancé Virginia Connely and grandson Jessie Phillips.

Memorial services were Sunday November 7, 2010 at Metz Chapel. Inurnment will be held at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, NE at a later date.
