Norma Chase

Norma M. Chase age 70 of Bradshaw, NE died Friday July 30, 2010 at York, NE. She was born December 31, 1939 at Hamburg, IA to Frank and Edrie (McCreary) Gardner and was a longtime CSM aid at the York General Hearthstone. She retired in 2001 after 25 years of service. She was a member of the York Writer’s Guild, enjoyed camping and reading and had worked part time at Wal-Mart in York as a greeter. On February 18, 1955 she was married to Ronald “Bud” Chase Sr.

She is survived by her husband Ronald “Bud” Chase of Bradshaw. Two sons; Ronald Chase Jr and Adam and his wife Heather Chase all of Bradshaw. Two daughters; Patricia Ann Chase of Geneva, NE and Debra Lynn and her husband Jay Willman of Lincoln. Eleven Grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers; Keith and his wife Kathy Gardner of Omaha, NE and Ronald Gardner of Oklahoma City, OK. Four sisters; Donna Vito and Mary Spiedel both of Salina, KS, Joan McDonald of Tennessee and Linda and Terry Sjulin of Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, a stillborn son and her brother Francis.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Metz Chapel in York with burial in Council Cemetery near Bradshaw, NE. Memorials may be sent to the family for later designation.
