Robert O. Chapman
Robert O. Chapman age 67 of Gresham, Nebraska died Thursday, January 15, 2004 at Gresham.
He was born April 24, 1936 at Devil’s Lake, North Dakota to Armon and Hazel (Holmstrom) Chapman. He was retired from the United States Air Force after serving 20 years which included two tours in Viet Nam. He was also retired from Hughes Bothers of Seward after 20 years as well. Most recently he was employed part time for the Village of Gresham as a maintenance man for two years. Robert was a member of the Gresham Presbyterian Church, the Gresham Volunteer Fire Department, lifetime member of the Davidson-Neujahr American Legion Post #13 in Gresham, a lifetime member of Post 4755 Veterans of Foreign Wars of Seward. He loved woodworking and hunting.
On May 12, 1957 he was married to Patricia Davidson in Lincoln, NE.
He is survived by his wife Pat of Gresham, one son Mark and his wife Carol Chapman of Colorado Springs, CO., and a daughter Carla and her husband Gary Schumacher of Humphrey, NE. Grandchildren include; Christy Robinson of Colorado Springs, Co., Jessica Schumacher of Humphrey, Evan Schumacher and Kimberly Schumacher both of Humphrey. Great Grandchildren; Trenten Robinson and Logan Proffit both of Colorado Springs, Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Michael.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at the Gresham Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Noel DeKalb officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Gresham. Memorials may be directed to the Family.
