Freda Chapin

Freda Chapin age 89 of York, NE died Saturday, January 8, 2011 at York, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 28, 1921 at Somerset, NE to William and Theodora (Dunton) Gaedke. On July 31, 1949 she was married to Milton Wayne Chapin at North Platte, NE.

She is survived by her son; Laurence and his wife Janet Lombard of Boonville, CA; Robert and his wife Ina Chapin of Redding, IA; Michael Chapin of York; daughter Jennifer and her husband Max Shepherd of York, a sister Cecil Krepcik of Cozad, NE; a son-in-law Robert Willcock of Ortonville, MN; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and her dog Speckles. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Milton, two daughters; Kathleen and Kimberly June, brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the Metz Chapel in York with burial in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
