Harriet Carlson

Harriet T. Carlson, age 83 of York died Thursday, August 28, 2003 at York. She was born October 22, 1919 on a farm near Stromsburg, NE., to Ernest and Edna (Carlson) Carlson. She was a 1935 graduate of Stromsburg High School and had worked as a draftsman in Chicago from 1943 to 1959. Later she moved back to York and was employed at the Hearthstone for a number of years. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Stromsburg. She is survived by one brother The Reverend Dr. Delmar and his wife Zona Carlson of Cherokee, IA; one sister Phyllis Scamehorn of York, and one sister- in-law Delores Carlson of Stromsburg. Many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Milburn and Edsel and a brother in law Donald Scamehorn. Graveside services were Tuesday September 2, at the Swede Home Cemetery near Stromsburg with the Reverend Donna Durrett officiating.
