Georgia Burnham

Georgia E. Burnham age 91 of York, NE died Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at York. She was born September 1, 1914 in York to Winfield and Marjorie (Childs) Haner and was a longtime member of the Baptist Congregational Church in York. Georgia was part owner with her husband Herbert of the York Gravel and Ready Mix Company for over 20 years and was also a member of the P.E.O. On May 5, 1934 she was married to Herbert K. Burnham in York. She is survived by one son Herbert K Burnham Jr of Colorado Springs, CO. 9 Grandchildren 6 Great Grandchildren Also surviving is a sister Jean Gallant of Kearney, a nephew Mike Peters of Lubbock, TX and a niece Becca Peters of Tucson, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Bill, two sisters and a daughter in law. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 17, 2005 at the Baptist Congregational Church in York with the Reverend Coral Ebberly officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in York with memorials being directed to the Baptist Congregational Church. Visitation begins after 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. The family will greet friends and neighbors Sunday evening from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
