Marjory Brown

Marjory Belle Brown, age 90, of Omaha, former York resident, died Sunday, June 5, 2005. She was born January 7, 1915 at Des Moines, IA to Myron F. and Clarissa M. (Teachout) Joy. Marjory was a 1934 graduate of Nelson High School and attended nursing school in Delaware where she received her L.P.N. degree. She worked as an LPN in the Intensive Care Unit at Lincoln General Hospital for twenty years. Subsequently, she returned to York, and worked at the Women’s Reformatory for a time before completely retiring. She moved to Omaha, about twelve years ago, to be closer to her family. Marjory is survived by her daughter Sheila and her husband Ronald Meier of Omaha; her son Terry Warren of Bear River, WY; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; and one step-great-great grandchild. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Gilbert Freeman Warren; son Myron Floyd Warren; four brothers, Henry, Albert, Myron Frank II, and Robert; and two sisters, Mary Ellen and Irma.

Graveside services and inurnment will be held at the Nelson Cemetery at Nelson, NE. at 3:00 pm on Friday, June 10, 2005 with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Berry. Memorials may be directed to the family.
