Betty Boyle

Elizabeth “Betty” L. Boyle age 75 of York, Nebraska died Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at York. She was born May 5, 1929 in rural Dodge County, Nebraska to Leo J. and Katherine K. (Jankiewicz) Kroenke. She graduated from Dodge High School in 1947 before attending Wayne State College for 2 years where she received her teaching certificate. Betty taught school for four years and was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York. There she served on the Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters. She also belonged to the Yorktown Navy Mothers Club as well. On October 24, 1955 she was married to Marvin D. Boyle at Columbus. She is survived by her husband Marvin of York, five sons, Michael and his wife Laurie Boyle of Green Bay WI., Dan Boyle of Lincoln, Jeff and his wife Shelly Boyle of Grand Island, Gregory Boyle of Oakpark, CA. and Benjamin and his wife Carrie Boyle of Manhattan, KS. One daughter Katherine Brumbaugh of Lincoln. Nine Grandchildren, Taylor, Hailey and Max Boyle of Green Bay, WI., Cole and Abby Boyle of Grand Island, Kaleb and Kambrij Brumbaugh of Lee’s Summit, MO and Jackson and Alex Boyle of Manhattan, KS. A former son in law Keith Brumbaugh of Lee’s Summit, MO. Also surviving are four brothers, Robert and his wife MaryLou Kroenke of Fremont, Lee and his wife Donna Kroenke of Santa Maria, CA., Henry and his wife Theresa Kroenke of Bellevue, NE., and Tony and his wife Trina Kroenke of Omaha. One sister Dorothy (Kroenke) Muhleisen of Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York. Burial was at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, American Cancer Society or to the family.
