Loyola Borowiak

Loyola Lee Borowiak, 75, of York, NE died Sunday, December 18, 2011 in Lincoln, NE. She was born May 5, 1936 at York to Michael and Mary Ellen (McMahon) Rea. She was married to Clifford Borowiak on July 4, 1956.

Loy is survived by her sons: Paul Borowiak and Father Kenneth Borowiak of Lincoln; daughter Diane (Kevin) Neujahr of Waverly, NE; five grandchildren: Michelle (Brandon) Lorence of Lincoln, Christina (Brian) Erickson of Lincoln, Jacob Neujahr of Lincoln, and Allison and Natalie Neujahr of Waverly; and two great-grandsons, Lathan and Paxton Lorence of Lincoln. Also surviving are three sisters, Agnes Ayoub of Grand Island, NE, Peggy Meyers of Sacramento, CA, and Eileen Esch of Mesa, AZ; one brother, Charles Rea of Denton, TX; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Esther and Leonard Tarnick of Columbus, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clifford, son Robert John, five brothers and two sisters.

A Rosary was said at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Metz Mortuary in York. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in York with Father Kenneth Borowiak officiating. Burial was in St Joseph’s Cemetery, York. Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph’s Parish, York.
