Myron Bolte
Myron W. Bolte, age 71 of York, NE, left this life and entered into heaven on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Fairmont, NE. He was born October 15, 1937 at Beaver Crossing, NE to Walter and Verna (Blum) Bolte. He was baptized November 7, 1937 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Utica, NE and confirmed May 13, 1951 at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Cordova, NE. After graduating from Waco High School in 1955, Myron served in the Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was united in marriage to Delores “Dee” Otte November 13, 1971 at York. Myron was employed for many years at L&W Service Center as a salesman. He also worked at Champion Home Builders, Holiday Inn, Sunflower Carriers and various other jobs. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and nature. Myron was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the American Legion both in York. He was a kind and loving husband, father, brother and friend and will be missed by many.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Dee of York; sons: Daniel Bolte of Lincoln, NE and Brent (Chris) Bolte of Lincoln, NE; daughters: Kimberly (Tom) Hart of York, NE Terese (Don) Knipfel of Bella Vista, AR, Denese (Rick) Hoegh of Hampton, NE and
foster daughter Peggy Lovgren of Stromsburg, NE. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; two sisters: Mary Ann (Mike) Bristol of Thayer, NE and Connie (Glen) Shockey of York; brother-in-law Art Otte of Sioux Falls, SD; sister-in-law Bev (Delbert) Kramer of Bradshaw, NE; nieces; nephews; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant niece.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 11, 2009 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York, NE with the Revs. Tim Marshall and Mike Niedow officiating. Burial followed in the Plainfield Cemetery, Bradshaw, NE. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
