Helen Blender

Helen Blender age 78 of York, formerly of Benedict NE, died Friday, September 16, 2005 at York. She was born March 27, 1927 in Hamilton County, NE to John and Ida (Peterson) Bush. She was a 1945 graduate of Hordville High School. Helen was married to Everett E. Blender on December 8, 1952 at Grand Island, NE. They lived and farmed in the Polk and Benedict area until they retired to York in 1993. Helen especially enjoyed spending time with her three grandchildren. She was a member of the Arborville Congregational Church at Polk, NE.

She is survived by son Kent (Linda) Blender of Benedict; daughter Marcia Blender & Jerry Cole of Lincoln; grandchildren, Christina, Deric and Hannah Blender; two brothers, Howard (Birtie) Bush of Aurora, NE and Max (Joyce) Bush of Great Falls, MT; two sisters, Emma Crawford of Arapahoe, NE and Nora Bush of Schuyler, NE; brother-in-law, William Blender of Polk and sister-in-law, Virginia Werth of York. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and one infant sister.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September, 20, 2005 at the Arborville Congregational Church south of Polk with the Rev.Jim Parker. Burial will be at the Arborville Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Visitation will begin at noon on Monday at Metz
