Harold Blair

Harold F. Blair, age 76, longtime York resident and Champion Homebuilders retiree, died peacefully Monday, May 28, 2007 at Stromsburg, NE. Harold was born January 8, 1931 at Creighton, NE and married his high school sweetheart, Evelyn M. Van Buren in February of 1952 at Creighton, NE.

He is survived by three sons and two daughters; Don Blair of Azle, TX, Tony Blair of York, NE, and Todd Blair of Tecumseh, NE and their respective spouses, Mary and Jane; Rebecca Blair of El Cerrito, CA and Jan Meiczinger of Springfield, VA, and their spouses Bill and Mark. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Shannon, Nathon, Erica, and Tyler, and one great grand-child Lily who all brought him much joy. He is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn (1983) and son Brian (1967).

Funeral services were held June 1, 2007 at the Metz Chapel in York. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery at York. Memorials in Harold’s name may be directed to Tabitha Health Care Services, 522 Grant Avenue, York, NE 68467.
