Gerald (Jerry) F. Blair

Gerald (Jerry) F. Blair, age 74, of Cape Coral, FL, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at Ft. Myers, FL. He was born July 4, 1930 at Detroit, MI to Joseph J. and Evelyn I. (Drogosch) Blair. Jerry was a veteran of the Korean conflict and was a retired product engineer. He was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church of Cape Coral and the Knights of Columbus. On January 15, 1999 he was married to Linda J. Ehlers at Redwood City, CA.

Jerry is survived by his wife Linda Ehlers Blair of Cape Coral, FL; 2 daughters, Monica and her husband Geary Pearson of Greenwood, IN and Heidi and her husband Amr Higgy of Redwood City, CA; grandsons, Kyle and Cody both of Greenwood, IN and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, his first wife Ursula Blair (Wendlandt) of Berlin, Germany, brother Marvin Blair of Connecticut and sister Donna Marie Brown of Michigan.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2004 at 1:00 pm at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at York. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday at 5:00 pm. Memorials may be made to Hope Hospice of Health Park, Ft. Myers, FL, American Cancer Society or charity of the donor’s choice.
