Betty Berggren

Betty J. Berggren, age 69, of Utica, NE, died Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Lincoln. She was born June 18, 1942 at Johnstown, CO to David and Lydia (Hofferber) Hock. Betty was a nurse’s assistant, CNA and drove a bus for disabled children. She volunteered in the Foster Grandparent Program in Geneva. She enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking and traveling. Betty and Norman Berggren were married on January 21, 1972 at Westminster, CA.

Survivors include her husband Norman of Fairmont; daughters, Lydia Popovich of York and Lisa Berggren of York; son Michael Berggren of Fairmont; four grandchildren, Gage Berggren and Seth Miller of York and Faith and Isaac Berggren of Fairmont. She was preceded in death by her parents and son David Burns.

Memorials services were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Metz Chapel in York, NE. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
