Marlene Bailey

Marlene Bailey, age 63, of York, died Friday, March 23, 2007 at York. Marlene was born December 12, 1943 at Sioux City, IA to Arnold and Gladys (Allaway) Hedquist. She married Don R. Bailey at So. Sioux City on April 24, 1966. Marlene was a retired long-time employee of the York State Bank and was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of York.

She is survived by her husband Don of York; sons, Ty and his wife Donna of Rowlett, TX and Bret and his wife Kim of Lincoln; grandchildren, Sarah, Ruth & John of Rowlett, TX and Ashton and Bryant of Lincoln. Also surviving is her mother Gladys Hedquist of So. Sioux City; brother Lance (Jean) Hedquist of So. Sioux City; sisters, Linda (Dick) Chaillie of Omaha, Janet (Steve) Rohde of Brush, CO and Wendy Bartlett of Littleton, CO; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Arnold.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 26, 2007 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in York with the Rev. Terry Cosier officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery at York. Memorials may be directed to the family and they will be designated at a later date.
