Margaret E. Albro, age 90 of York, died Thursday, November 13, 2003 at York. She was born October 4, 1913 at York to Robert Burns and Maude (Franks) Wendell. Margaret attended school at District 17. She was married to Howard A. Woods on June 25, 1932 at York and he died in November of 1934. She married Gilbert N. Albro in Lincoln on January 7, 1938. They lived near Fairmont where Margaret worked at Mumby’s Café and the Tower Café. She was a member of the North Side Club at Fairmont and had been a member of the Fairmont Community Church.

Margaret is survived by 5 children; Bill (Sharon) Albro, Gilbert Albro Jr, and Rex (Helen) Albro all of Lincoln; Doris Judy of Fairmont and Vera (Ken) Renquist of York. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and her brother Fritz (Ermabelle) Wendell of San Anselmo, CA. Preceding her in death were her parents, husbands, son Robert William Woods, and her brother John Wendell.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 17th at 10:00 am at the Metz Chapel in York with the Rev. Keith Bateman. Burial will be in the Fairmont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-9 and Sunday from 1-9.
